FAQs on walk-talk coaching
HOW FAST WILL WE BE MOVING?
We’ll be moving at whatever pace is comfortable for us to hold a conversation without having to pant. In most cases I’ll let you set the pace, the exception being if you decide you want to break out into a sprint (especially if you are an elite athlete).
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whatever you feel comfortable moving about in. We’ll aim to keep to well formed paths rather than going off-road but comfortable sports shoes are recommended over your favourite stilettos.
WHAT IF SOMEONE SEES US? WILL THEY KNOW WE ARE A "IN SESSION"?
Seeing two people walking or jogging together is a common sight. It is unlikely that people will think anything other than "There are two people out walking together".
WHAT IF YOU OR I SEE SOMEONE THAT WE KNOW WHEN WE'RE OUT?
It is possible that one or both of us may see someone when we are out. If it is someone you know, you will take the lead as to whether we linger.
WHAT IF IT STARTS BUCKETING DOWN OR IT BEGINS TO BLOW A GALE OR IT STARTS TO SNOW?
The weather can be unpredictable and living in the Wellington region there is a good chance that we will face a few windy days. We will check the weather forecast before we head out and dress for the conditions. If the weather changes while we're out you can choose whether you want to continue on our walk or head back to shelter.
