I often get asked why did I leave the security of a permanent, enjoyable, well paying job to set up Spring Coaching. Was I crazy? Especially in such uncertain times and when there is so much competition out there. It is pretty ludicrous.
My answer is always the same. I want to help others avoid the mistakes I made in my pursuit to be the happiest and healthiest form of myself. To help them break out of the struggle cycle they’re in. To be kinder and more accepting of themselves.
I got myself into a pretty dark place (you can read more about my story here). I know all too well what the struggle cycle is like. When you feel as though you’re doing everything right to be happy and healthy and you feel anything but. You feel like a mouse on a wheel. Running as fast as you can but making no progress and feeling exhausted for your efforts.
There is a plethora of health and wellbeing advice out there. Many promise quick results if you just follow their plan but then the plan doesn’t deliver. Other plans and advice just aren’t feasible. Who really has 2 hours to work out every day when you have family and work commitments, let alone your own personal chef to recreate the amazing healthy recipes or a disposable income to take time off to “find yourself”.
You end up feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and frustrated. Maybe even angry with yourself and your own perceived failure to achieve the promised results because in your mind everyone else seems to be able to do it, so there must be something wrong with you.
I’m here to say there is nothing wrong with you. I know what that’s like and it’s terrible. I wouldn’t wish that on my worse enemy.
So this is where Spring Coaching is different. We know there is no one size fits all for happiness and health. No perfection and no quick fixes. Instead we know the best way to happiness and health is through small sustainable steps, much like our "Small steps to happy and healthy every after". Small steps add up to big rewards over time. Trust us, it is the little things that you do most of the time that will make the biggest difference to how you feel.
Humans create rituals and rituals create futures.
